A badly worn and corroded copper alloy possible button. It is possible this is a livery or hunt button of post medieval date (c. AD 1700 - 1850). The object is a slightly convex disc with a relief moulding of a beast, possibly a pseudo-heraldic animal such as a lion or dog, with long tail curving over the back. The reverse is highly corroded but has a patch which may be the remains of an attachment lug.
