A medieval copper alloy simple rectangular bar-mount, dating to c. 1270 - 1350. The mount is rectangular in shape and D-shaped in cross-section, being flat to the reverse. There is a rivet hole at either end, both retaining copper alloy rivets in situ. One of the rivets has a sheet rove encircling it, which is rectangular in shape. The mount has a dark green patina, with brown patches of corrosion around the edges of the surface. There is a yellowish brown residue on the reverse and on the rove surface.
