An incomplete cast copper alloy skillet leg with a mounded bulbous transverse collar above a slightly pointed bifid foot designed to look like a hoof. The leg is sub-rectangular in plan and profile and plano-convex in section, with a flat back at 90 degrees to the base. One end is broken above the collar where it has been severed from the rest of the leg. There are patches of burnt organic material on the back and sides of the foot which would have adhered to the surface when the vessel was near the fire.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy skillet or posnet leg with a mounded bulbous transverse collar above a slightly everted foot which is designed to look like a hoof. The foot is sub-rectangular in plan and profile and plano-convex in section, with a flat back at 90 degrees to the base. The upper edge is broken where it has been severed from the rest of the leg. There are patches of burnt organic material on the back and sides of the foot which would have adhered to the surface when the vessel was near the fire.
