A cast lead alloy object, probably a weight dating to the Post medieval period (c. AD 1500 - 1900). It is sub-circular in shape. The faces are undecorated and there are no distinguishable marks. It has a light brown patina.
Similar examples have been recorded on the database such as SWYOR-2E7B7A. Some have been recorded as tokens or gaming counters, see ref. BERK-5D3C40.

A cast lead alloy object, probably a weight or gaming piece dating to the Post medieval period (c. AD 1500 - 1900). It is sub-circular in shape. The upper face has been stamped with a shape that resembles a crown. It has a light brown and grey patina.

A complete cast lead pencil or stylus of probable medieval to Post-medieval date (c. AD 1200-1700).
It is broadly rectangular in plan and sub-square in cross section. The four sides taper to a point at one end. The pencil has been bent into a hook shape, but appears complete.
It is patinated creamy white with patches of brown.

Cast lead shot of probable post medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1800).
It is sub-spherical in shape with a pitted surface. It is slightly distorted with some deeper sub-circular indentations, probably as a result of firing. On one section can be seen scoring. It is patinated creamy white with a beige colour patination present in the indentations.

An incomplete cast lead pilgrim's ampulla or holy water flask of Medieval date, c.1350-1500. The body of the ampulla is circular in plan with an expanded rectangular neck extending from one edge which is more complete. The remains of two attachment loops project on either side of the neck where it meets the body which would have been used to suspend the flask from a cord around the pilgrim's neck. Cast lead spindle whorl, circular in plan, sub-rectangular in profile with a circular central perforation that is 8 mm in diameter. On one side the whorl has a circular ridge that is generally 4 mm in from the edge and follows the circumference but is not clearly defined and appears to have been formed by pressing a disc into the lead. This example is probably Iron Age or Romano-British and is similar to finds CORN-76B6EA and CORN-76A61B. The whorl has a diameter of 30.8 mm, a thickness of 11.5 mm and weighs 47 g.

A cast lead fishing-net weight, sub-circular in plan with a central perforation and sub-rectangular in section. The central hole is sub-oval in shape, 6 mm long and 4 mm wide and appears to have been made by casting the molten metal around a narrow object. The impression of a twisted cord is visible on one side where it exits the central hole at the top and re-enters it at the bottom. The surface of the weight is patinated overall and is pitted and marked by several crude impressions, suggesting that the weight was crushed to fasten it to a cord whilst still in a semi-molten state.
