The surviving fragment is one arm of the bar with an integral spherical terminal. The arm is sub-circular in section and terminates in an expanded globular knop with a collar. The surface of the object is rough and pitted with only small patches of the original surface surviving.

Description
The ring is a memento mori ring with a flat bezel in the form of a central square, each side having a projecting semi-circular lobe engraved with a leaf, to form a quatrefoil design. The outer surface of the bezel square is engraved with a death’s head (a skull), inlaid with traces of white enamel, surrounded by the inscription: + Memento Mori, in small neat italic script. Incomplete copper alloy double loop oval buckle with moulded decoration on the loops, dating c. 1550-1650AD. There are grooves on the outer edge of each loop. The strap bar is narrowed and there is moulded detail at either ends of the strap bar. The buckled is flat and undecorated on the reversed. There is some wear on the strap bar, but the majority of the buckle has a smooth pale green patina.

An incomplete Post-Medieval copper-alloy sword belt hanger buckle, dating to c.1500 – 1630AD. The buckle would have had double rectangular loop, but one is now missing. The integral circular suspension loop projecting from one side, below the strap bar, with an internal diameter of 3.9mm, is damaged. The sides of the frame are angled. The object is not decorated. Lead or lead-alloy inkwell of probable post medieval date, c1600-1800AD. The inkwell is broadly octagonal in plan. In profile the inkwell is broadly rectangular in shape with a domed top. At the centre of the dome is a circular hole, with an internal diameter of 8.4mm, for the ink. The edges of the inkwell are rounded and the base is roughly cast and slightly concave. The inkwell is a mid-grey colour with a good well-developed patina which covers all surfaces.

The pin and axis bar, which would have been set within the hollow wings, are missing. The bow is plano-convex in section and comma shaped in profile but is broken at the mid-point. An incomplete copper alloy key handle of Roman date, c. 150-410AD. The handle would have been trilobed, in the form of a fleur-de-lys and openwork, with teardrop-shaped openings, which taper into the base. Only the central lobe survives. The base of the handle comprises a rectangular transverse collar decorated with moulded ridges. This base contains a socket which would have held an iron shank but is now missing. The object has a pale green patina.

Fragment of a ceramic handle, the consensus from a post on the Medieval and Later Pottery Research Group Facebook group, is that this is likely to be Ham Green dating c1300-1500AD.
The fragment has a white body with a largely reduced greyish core. The fabric has a lot of sandy inclusions which are clearly visible with the naked eye. There is a distinct ridge down the centre of the fragment with combed decoration on either side. The exterior surfaces of the fragment have a thick, dark green glaze.

Lead alloy button dating from c1550-1650AD.
The button is discoidal with a slightly convex front and a flat back. It is decorated with a 6-petal flower motif with a pellet on each petal and a pellet at the centre. The is a mould line clearly visible on the reverse which has a squared shank with a central circular hoop which has been squashed. The button has a dark grey patina.

Two copper alloy fragments, almost certainly part of the same object, of uncertain date and function, although stylistically possibly early medieval in date (c. 500-1100AD).
The fragments appear to be from the same object, although they do not join. They comprise a narrow sub-circular bar terminating in a zoomorphic head, possibly a lion or mythological beast. The mouth of the animal forms a loop (broken in one example) that may have formed a suspension loop. Details on the heads have been picked out in incised grooves.

Incomplete medieval copper alloy swivelling strap fitting, possibly from a dog leash, dating c.1100-1200AD.
The loop of the object has two stylised animal-head mouldings either side of a narrowed bar, with an integral shank. This shank projects through a separate domed element that swivels. The domed element has 7 sub-triangular projections the tips of which are rounded and slightly up-turned. The upper edge of the dome is covered with a series of grooves.
