Possibly a fragment of a copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Trajan (AD 98-117), dating to the period c. AD 98-117 (Reece period 5). This coin has been clipped roughly into a quater. Unknown reverse type, but a circular shape near the edge of the coin can be identified, perhaps a shield or trophy. Reverse legend is missing of illegible. Obverse: head or bust right, due to clipping only the fringe and the top half of the face down to the tip of the nose is visible. The face has also partially obscured by two deep scores which run vertically down the coin, these scores are likely a product…
