A fragment of a copper-alloy early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cruciform brooch, dating to c. AD 475-550. All that remains is one of a probable top knop from a cruicifrom brooch of Martin Group Kb5 (Martin, 2015, page 312). The knop is half round and non-detatchable, so has broken off the main brooch. It has been burnt and so is likely to have come from a cremation context. Remaining length: 14.66mm, remaining width: 18.28mm, thickness: 6.39mm, weight: 5.21g.
