Iron Age to Early medieval zoomorphic copper alloy mount. Length: 35 mm, width: 11 mm, thickness: 12 mm, thickness at ears: 9 mm, weight: 13.07 grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and sub circular in cross section. It has a tapering circular cross sectioned snout with two circular indents for nostrils at its tip. Medieval? copper alloy belt mount, 22mm long, 16mm wide and weighing 2.01grams. The mount is incomplete and openwork. It is formed of an incomplete sub oval frame with a rectangular cross section. It has a chevron shaped cross bar in its (now) centre. It has a slight rectangular projection at its apex and a further one at the shoulders.

It consists of a circular cross sectioned frame, within which is placed a backwards looking beast, possibly a lion, who is biting its own tail. Medieval copper alloy belt mount, dating to 1250-1400AD. The mount is rectangular in form and semi-circular in cross section. It has a central domed section which is decorated with incised lines running across and down it, creating a chequer board effect. Either side of this are sub circular proejections which hold the fixing pin/rivet which are still present. See no. 1161, Dress Accessories (MOL). It has a flat triangular plate with two rion rivets, one above the other, in its centre. At its apex there is a slight projection either side, resembling a collar. Below this is a large rectangular cross sectioned, circular hook. Length: 31 mm, width: 13 mm, thickness: 2.0 mm, weigth: 2.51 g.
