Roman copper alloy knee brooch, AD 100-200, Length: 33 mm, width: 18 mm, thickness: 8 mm, weight: 10.92 g. The brooch is complete except for its spring, pin and catchplate. It has semi-circular cross sectioned, rectangular shaped open wings. These sit above a rectangular cross sectioned, curved bow. This is swollen where it curves, giving it the distinctive shape of this type. The bow then narrows before splaying out into a sub rectangular foot. Similar to fig. 194, e.g. 479 in Hattatt, R. ' A catalogue of Richard Hattatts ancient brooches'

Early Post Medieval copper alloy purse bar fragment, Length: 62 mm, width: 6 mm, thickness: 5 mm, weight: 10.65 g. The object consists of about just under half a purse bar . It has a circular cross section and terminates with an acorn shaped finial which consists of a raised rounded band with diagonal incisions sitting below a smaller rounded terminal. The seal is incomplete and has a pointed oval form with a rectangular cross section. Its reverse has a rectangular cross sectioned bar running down its centre with a small semi-circular suspension loop at its upper edge. The seal has broken roughly around its centre and it is ecclesiastical in nature. It is in complete but mostof a flat circular plate survives, which has a smaller circular projection in its centre, c9mm in diameter. On this section are traces of a 'Tudor' rose motif. Given the design it could be a 17th century Colchester seal (see LON-5356D0), or be a more generic seal dating to the reigns of Charles II, James II, or William III, see BERK-0C6679 and SUSS-75A718.

A medieval silver halfpenny of Henry VII (1485-1509), probably Withers Class 3A (North 1734), mint: London. Ref: Withers and Withers 2004: 43. The coin is very worn with much of the inscription no longer surviving and the flan is chipped. The coin was struck on a roughly oval flan.
