Roman copper alloy knee brooch, AD 100-200, Length: 33 mm, width: 18 mm, thickness: 8 mm, weight: 10.92 g. The brooch is complete except for its spring, pin and catchplate. It has semi-circular cross sectioned, rectangular shaped open wings. These sit above a rectangular cross sectioned, curved bow. This is swollen where it curves, giving it the distinctive shape of this type. The bow then narrows before splaying out into a sub rectangular foot. Similar to fig. 194, e.g. 479 in Hattatt, R. ' A catalogue of Richard Hattatts ancient brooches'

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, Length: 32 mm, width: 11 mm, thickness: 4.62 g. The brooch has short rectangular shaped wings which had a D shaped cross section. The central hinged pin is missing, as is the suspension loop from its upper centre. The bow is decorated with a raised circular 'stud' containing a raised cross inside and below this are two rows of facing triangular cells down the length of the bow. This terminates with a stepped rounded foot and the reverse of the bow contains a catch plate scar, half the length of the bow.

Roman copper alloy probable nail cleaner of Baldock type, Length: 33 mm, width: 8 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 1.5 g. The object has a sub triangular form and cross section and consists of an elongated triangular shaped plate which has rounded 'shoulders' flanking an integral transverse suspension loop. The loop is triangular in form and has a curved end, which would have formed the loop, now missing. The objects form suggests a nail cleaner but it has no bifurcation at its tip and no decoration, but is similar to BH-19766A and BUC-9F4DC6.

Its bow is sub rectangular in cross section and is decorated with a raised circular 'stud' sitting above a raised linear band flanked by a linear recess. The brooch has a stepped foot, now bent, and behind. It is 44mm long, 12 mm wide, 4mm in thickness and weighs 8.28 g. It has a damaged triangular catchplate.

Roman copper alloy finger ring, Length: 21 mm, width: 19 mm, thickness: 9 mm, weight: 3.11 g. The ring is intact but is damaged around the edges. It has a sub rectangular cross sectioned loop which widens to accomodate the bezel. This is formed of an elongated lozenged shaped recessed border, with a centrally placed raised circular bezel, which has two slightly curved incised lines at its centre. The whole of the surface is silvered/tinned with the damage exposing the copper alloy core. The ring fits Henig type VIII.

Late Iron Age / Early Roman Le Tene bow brooch, Length: 36 mm, width: 4 mm, thickness: 3 mm, wieght: 2.93 g The brooch has a circular cross section and tapers in width towards its base. It comprises a curved bow which at its base is turned and narrows to form a rectangular catch plate. Its opposite end terminates in a narrowed backwards curve to house the central part of the spring, now missing.

Roman copper alloy bow brooch fragment, Length: 16 mm, width: 13 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 1.37 g The object is the upper part of small Hod Hill brooch or possibly a 'hinge headed enamelled' brooch type. It has a fragmentary sub rectangular head plate with a cental hinged fitting. Below thisiit tapers sharply to a small recessed collar sitting above a rectangular shaped and cross sectioned bow. This has a horizontal rounded recess at its upper edge with a slight rounded ridge below. The brooch is broken at this point and is very worn.

Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch, Length: 49 mm, width: 35 m, thickness: 22 mm, weight: 21.17 g. The brooch is largely intact and has open circular cross sectioned wings with half a spring of 9 coils present. The bow is sub-circular in cross section and its rounded upper part is decorated with an incised indentation running from each side and forming a triangular motif, terminating on its upper centre. The bow sits on a slightly raised rounded surface projecting from the centre of the wings.

Roman copper alloy bracelet fragment, Length: 35 mm, width: 17 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 3.85 g. The fragment is rectangular in cross section and form and is decorated on one side with two rows of rope like decoration running down the centre. There is one complete long edge which has an incised line forming a slight lip. It is similar to LON-43EA71 and SF-528BC5; these are often described as a wide cuff, wide strip or armilla type. This example is of Crummy's Group A, with two bands of decoration (Crummy 2005).

Roman ceramic bowl or cup fragment, AD 250-410. Length: 44 mm, width: 49 mm, thickness: 4 mm, base diameter: 35 mm. The bowl is incomplete but enough remains to see its form. It has an intact rim, whcih curves down towards the bowls base. This sits on an intact solid 'pedestal' which widens towards its base. The bowl/cup has a fine orange fabric and a brown slip. It has been roughly turned and has wire marks on its underside. Its colour fits it being a Nene Valley colour coat vessel or more southerly equivilent.
