The object is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and is plain. It has an oval loop with a slight triangular projection for the pin rest. It has two intergal sub rectangular shafts emerging from the opposite end which would have been covered in a plate on each side. In between these is a recess to house the pin, now missing.
