Early medieval copper alloy shaft, probably from a toilet implement, dating to around 450-700AD, Length: 38 mm, width: 6 mm, weight: 3.49 grams.
The object is largely rectangular in form and cross section and is incomplete with breaks at both short ends. It tapers in width towards a terminal which has an incomplete circular suspension loop emerging from what appears to be an animal head.
