Neolithic (Early) to Bronze Age (Later) flake, 4000 BC to 501 BC, 32mm long, 20mm wide, 10mm thick and 5g in weight. Made on a light brown semi-translucent flint that is turning an opaque mid-light grey colour through patination. Struck by hard hammer from an orthogonal core, the butt is large, triangular and plain. The left lateral edge possesses cortex which would have formed the base of the core when flaking took place from the right. The distal end has fractured slighly.

Neolithic (Early) to Bronze Age (Later) flake, 36mm long, 20mm wide, 4mm thick and 2.3g in weight. Made on a light caramel brown translucent flint that has no signs of patination. The dorsdal face possesses unidirectional flake scars and the butt is dihedral. Flakes could be of any age but this one is so fresh that it is likely to be later.

Neolithic (Early) to Bronze Age (Later) flake, 23mm long, 16mm wide, 2mm thick and 1.3g in weight. Broken flake that has one unidirectional flake scar on the dorsal face and cortex remaining on both lateral edges. The flake was struck from a small core of translucent dark flint that is truning grey through patination. The distal end of the flake is missing, either snapped or broken during deposition.

Neolithic (Early) to Bronze Age (Later) notch, 4000 BC to 501 BC. 47mm long, 26mm wide, 6mm thick and 6.2g in weight. Made on a light brown translucent flint flake that is turning an opaque grey through patination. Flake struck from an orthogonal core, as the dorsal face possesses numerous flake scars sruck unidirectionally and from the left side. Cortex still on the distal end of the flake and the notch is on the left lateral edge near the proximal end. Small amount of retouch present on the ventral face of the right lateral edge towards the distal end as well.

Neolithic (Early) to Bronze Age (Later) flake, 4000 BC to 501 BC, 41mm long, 17mm wide, 7mm thick and 4.2g in weight. Made on a flint that is dark brown and semi-translucent. The flint is starting to turn grey through patination. The flake was struck from a bipolar core as evidence by the the flake scars on the dorsal face. Half of the dorsal face still retains its cortex and the butt is plain.

Neolithic (?) flint flake, probably dating to 4000-2351 BC. The flake is dark brown in colour, sub triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. The flint has abrupt, scaled re-touch along its one straight edge and has also been worked around the possible V-shaped notch on the upper (as shown ) edge. Length: 33 mm, width: 27 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 5.24 g.

Two early Neolithic blade like flakes, one incomplete, 4000-3500BC. Both have a dark brown patina and no signs of any re-touch. 1) Length: 52 mm, width: 16 mm, thickness: 6 mm, weight: 6.74 g This has three clear linear removals on its dorsal surface. 2) Length: 27 mm, width: 14 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 1.68 g this is incomplete and has clear bulb of percussion on its ventral surface.

Neolithic (early) to Neolithic (late) flake, 4000 BC to 1501 BC. Hard hammer struck flake with a prepared striking platform. The flint is opaque and grey in patination and the dorsal face possesses three unidirectional flake scars. This looks to be a a preparation flake for a prepared core. The external flaking angle is between 55-65% as a rough estimate. 36mm long, 20mm wide, 7mm thick and 6.7g in weight.

Palaeolithic (Middle) to Bronze Age (Late) flake, 19mm long, 16mm wide, 5mm thick and 2.2g in weight. Small flake with no pronounced bulb of percussion and small striking platform, which could have been struck with a soft hammer, and therefore could be a small thinning flake. The flint is opaque and the patination has coloured the flint to a orangey brown. The dorsal face displays two unidirectional flake scars that are also small. The the flake may even have been struck from a small pebble or a very exhausted core.

Neolithic (Early) to Neolithic (Late) flake, 22mm long, 27mm wide, 4mm thick and 3.3g in weight. Small flake that has a broken distal end. The dorsal face shows a evidence of abrasion and the flint is is opaque and patinated to a speckley cream colour. Could possibly be of considerable antiquity. The right lateral edge possesses a small amount of retouch but not enough to form a scraper.

Neolithic (Early) to Neolithic (Late) flake with notch, 20mm long, 30mm wide, 4mm thick and 3.1g in weight. This is a secondary flake struck from a prepared core. The butt is of Chapeau de Gendarme type and displays some preparation. The whole dorsal face is a negative scar from a previous unidirectional removal. The lateral edges show some evidence of control and preparation of lateral convexities. The distal end of the flake has been worked into a small but deep notch. The flint is a light caramel brown that is turning grey through the process of patination.

Palaeolithic (Lower) to Mesolithic (Early) flake, 33mm long, 43mm wide, 14mm thick and 18g in weight. Thick hard hammer struck wide flake with a large plain butt on a creamy white opaque chert. Distal end displays some evidence that it was once part of an old platform of the core from which it came. The dorsal scar patterns show an orthogonal flaing method was in practice.
