Medieval lead alloy weight? 1100-1500AD, 40mm long, 35mm wide and 87mm thick with a weight of 44.32grams. The object is ovoid in form and rectangular in cross section. It has a small rectangular hole in its 'pointed' end and below this is decorated on bboth sides. One has radiating linear depressions representing a scallop shell, whilst the other has a 'wheel' like motif of large raised circle and radiating lines converging on a small central circle. The object is most likely a weight, but could also be an unusual Pilgrims badge, given the decoration? Slightly similar to NMS-7BEDF2
