Complete lead token of probable post Medieval date (c. 1500 - 1800). The token is flat and circular, with one face featuring a cross hatch design and a central thick, and slightly raised undecorated band. The opposite face appears plain though the raised band is also present. Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely.
