Heavily worn traders token dating to the 17th century. The obverse features the inscription 'HIS HALF PENY' over three lines in the centre. The legend around is illegible.
The reverse legend and design is also illegible. Similar tokens with the same obverse are known from database examples, with most dating to the 17th century. See SWYOR-A32611, LON-C10820, YORYM-9218BA for similar examples.

Complete lead token of probable post Medieval date (c. 1500 - 1800).
The token is flat and circular, with one face featuring a cross hatch design and a central thick, and slightly raised undecorated band. The opposite face appears plain though the raised band is also present.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely.
