Description: An Eastern British (North Thames / Trinovantes) Iron Age uninscribed gold quarter stater of the ‘Clacton Cross’ type dating to c. 80-50 BC (ABC p. 120, no. 2356). The coin has similar counterparts on the database:  CAM-19EFAE, BM-E4ECD6 and FASAM-8E4892. Obverse: traces of 'three men in a boat' design Reverse: cross of double lines, pellets in angles Dimensions:  Diameter: 13.43mm; Weight: 1.40g

Coin 2 (B): A Gallo-Belgic imported Gold Boat Tree quarter stater (ABC 40, Gallo-Belgic DC). This design of quarter stater is attributed to the Ambiani or Morini people and struck in about 80-60 BC. Coin 1 (A): A Gallo-Belgic imported Gold Boat Tree quarter stater (ABC 40, Gallo-Belgic DC). This design of quarter stater is attributed to the Ambiani or Morini people and struck in about 80-60 BC. The obverse of the coin has the design known as men in a boat with eight crosses running from the bottom flan and to the right edge. The reverse is slightly dished with two horizontal ridges. The lower one having a slight wave. The upper ridge is pierced by the tree design. Dimensions: 10.7mm in diameter and weighs 1.44g.
