A silver, class 3, penny, dating from the reign of Henry III. This particular coin is a long-crossed coinage without the sceptre. Obv: bust of Henry III, pointed face with well-marked beard and neck indicated by two lines. Pellet-in-annulet eyes. Usually a pellet on each side of head between curls. Colon After REX. Only NR ligated. Inscription: HENRICVS REX III. Rev: Long cross voided with three pellets in each angle. Inscription of monyer and mint.

A silver penny, dating from the reign of King Edward III. The coin is over struck, causing the cross to show through. However, the reverse side shows a potent cross, which was common during the pre-treaty period (fourth coinage). Obv: Edward III face, inscription EDWARDVS REX ANGLI . Rev: potent cross with amulets in each corner, inscription CIVITAS LONDON.
