A collection of three flint secondary and tertiary bladelets of Mesolithic to early Neolithic date (c. 10,000 BC - 4000 BC). They are brownish grey in colour and semi-translucent at the edges. 1) The first bladelet is long and sub-rectangular in plan, with long sides that are almost parallel. An incomplete copper alloy buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1350-1400). The buckle has a rounded knop with a collar at the base. From the knop the frame extends into an D-shape, with the bar slightly recessed from the frame. On the frame at either end of the bar are two indents indicating the terminals of the bar. An incomplete copper alloy palstave fragment of Middle Bronze Age date (c. 1500-1200 BC). The fragment is approximately triangular in profile and rectangular in section. The blade end survives intact but has corroded surfaces with some encrustation and a mid-brown to green patina. The sides of the palstave taper inwards from the ends of the blade, before terminating in an old break. This fragment is probably from a palstave, although it could potentially be from the tip of a socketed axe head or a small chisel. The upper half is longer than the bottom giving the object a kite shape in cross-section. The weight is patinated a dull grey-white typical of patinated lead.
