A copper alloy post medieval to modern clog clasp inscribed with the motto: GOD SAVE THE KING. It dates from the 18th century and probably refers to George III. The clasp has a broadly rectangular die-stamped plate with three sub-rectangular perforations (possibly for attachment). The perforations have clearly been made after the inscription, as the perforations cut through the wording, which suggests reuse, possibly from one shoe to another that had a different fitting. Incomplete copper alloy socketed axehead of probable Late Bronze Age date, c. 1300-700 BC.
The artefact is the blade of the axe and consists of a broadly curved cutting edge with sides that flare out to reveal a hollow interior cavity. The artefact is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The broken edges are transverse to the cutting edge and are uneven, but all edges are abraded and chipped. The artefact has a powdery green patina.

The pommel is comprised of five splayed lobes which ascend in height from either side towards a central larger and taller lobe, creating a symmetrical effect. A complete opaque globular annular glass bead of unknown date, Bronze Age to Modern, about 2200 BC to AD 1900, but most likely to be Roman or Early Medieval. The bead is made out of opaque light-blue glass. It is circular in shape, with convex sides, and the ends slightly flattened. It is annular and uneven, thicker at one side than the other. A Post-Medieval small silver spoon dating from circa AD 1750-1800. The bowl is oval but mishapen. The handle is flat and tapers outwards from the bowl. There is a maker's mark 'TN' half way up the handle. The object is delicate and could be part of a child's toy set.
The maker's mark is possibley of Thomas Northcote who is noted as a London Spoon Maker, active in the late 18th C. See Pickford, I., (ed), Jackson's Hallmarks Antique Collectors Club, page 78. This dates the spoon to being less than 300 years old and thus does not qualify …

A copper-alloy frame from a single-loop buckle of medieval date. For similar zoomorphic buckles, see PAS record no. BH-44C3D6, or Murawski 2003: 455, M12-0206; 456, M12-0207; 462, M12-0406. The suggested date range is 12th to 13th century. The frame takes the form of a three-dimensional animal, standing, its head at the top right hand corner of the frame, looking backwards over its shoulder. The bar is missing, however the there are clear signs of a break at animals feet where the bar once would have been. There are two grooves under the animal's legs that deliniate the feet.

Description: A complete gold finger ring, of 19th century date. The hoop of the ring has a twisted rope design around the entire diameter on its exterior face. The inside face of the hoop is plain, with no hallmarks. This design transitions directly into the bezel of the ring, which is a lozenge shape, into which a red stone is set into a quatrefoil opening. The bezel is a box design with chamfered edges. There is an apparent ‘lid’ for the box bezel, and it is possible that a keepsake is contained within the bezel itself.

An incomplete cast copper alloy (bronze) flat axe of Early Bronze Age dating (c. 2350 BC to c. 2050 BC).
The flat axe is broadly sub rectangular in shape with an incomplete rounded shaped blade. In profile it is broadly lentoid, with tapering edges. The axehead is broken, with the butt end missing. The break is an irregular concave in shape; the width at the break is 37.99 mm (thickness:7.23 mm). A fragment of a copper-alloy harness fitting terret ring of late Iron Age to Roman date, c.100 BC - AD 100. The terret is a 'simple' type. All that remains is one section of the loop with a collar, and a small section of the sub oval strap bar.
