Description: A complete gold finger ring, of 19th century date. The hoop of the ring has a twisted rope design around the entire diameter on its exterior face. The inside face of the hoop is plain, with no hallmarks. There is a maker's mark 'TN' half way up the handle. A copper alloy post medieval to modern clog clasp inscribed with the motto: GOD SAVE THE KING. It dates from the 18th century and probably refers to George III. The clasp has a broadly rectangular die-stamped plate with three sub-rectangular perforations (possibly for attachment).
