I have examined a group of 73 coins reported found at Netherwitton, North Northumberland. The majority (63) are English silver pennies of the Short Cross type, with the obverse inscription of HENRICUS REX, i.e. King Henry, and a reverse inscription naming the moneyer and mint-place.
