A complete silver short-cross penny of Richard I. There are 7 pearls to the crown and the letter N is wide, the beard is made up of small pellets. There are two un-pelleted curls on the L and two or three on the R. Based on this the coin belongs to Richard I; North class 3ab2 or class 4a. The busts on these coins can be either large, small, wide or thin. Date is c.1190-1200. Moneyer and mint are WILLELM of London, though WILLELM can also be spelt as WILLEM on these coins due to the space taken up by the enlarged letter N and A. The coin has a weight of 1.04g and a diameter of 17.74mm
