An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of the post medieval period (c.1500-1700). The clasp it sub-rectangular in plan and is formed from a single metal sheet that is 0.68 mm thick. A fragment of a copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head is ovate with a double lug hinge mechanism to the reverse. The pin no longer remains. A D-sectioned bow extends from the front of the head but is much truncateed. The patina is a dark green. Similar examples are illustrated in Hattatt, p.327, fig.186 and are dated to circa AD 75 - 175.

Head of a copper alloy 8th- or 9th-century Anglo-Saxon disc-headed pin, probably part of a triple linked pin set. The head and part of the shaft survive in fairly good condition. The head is circular and flat with decoration on one face, and has two holes, one on each side at 90 degrees between the top of the circle and the drop of the shaft. The frame takes the form of a three-dimensional animal, standing, its head at the top right hand corner of the frame, looking backwards over its shoulder. Massive terret ring made from cast cu-alloy, with an incomplete projection of a twin spur (lipped projection) within the ring. It would also have had a strap bar concealed at the base. Most known examples come from northern England and Scotland with an emphasis in Aberdeenshire. There are also examples from North Wales. It's very close to an example from Chesters, Northumberland in Jope 2000, 309, 291e and MacGregor 1976, 113. Generally dating from late 1st-mid 3rd century AD. The object is roughly pear shaped with a flat top at its narrowest point, and has a piercing at its narrow end. An incomplete cast copper-alloy cup-headed stud inlaid with green enamel. Sally Worrell has comented that such studs are late Iron Age or Early Roman, usually with either a blue or red enamel (see FAKL-FCD5C7). This example has a green enamel with no traces of blue or red. The buckle is a single looped, oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank two grooves on the outer edge of the loop which act as rests for the pin. Description: Incomplete silver annular brooch of the Medieval period (1350-1400). The subcircular frame has a flattened, rectangular cross-section. The frame is undecorated on the reverse. The front is inscribed in Lombardic capitals reading: IESVS NAZAREN[VS]. The inscription starts and ends at the pin constriction. The pin has a D-shaped cross-section, with an integral cross-bar that divides the tapering pin from the straight-sided hook for attaching to the frame. A complete cast copper alloy dress hook of early Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1500 - 1700. The dress hook is of Read's Class E, Type 3: circular in plan and with a rectangular attachment loop. The dress hook has a cast openwork body, with a central cross; each quarter has an openwork trefoil or quatrefoil. The outer edge of the body is decorated with a line of pellets. The hook at the base is complete, but bent. Parallels include FAKL-14FC6A, YORYM-681DC6 and Read (2008) p. 99 number 370-371.
