The folowing report is from Martin Henig. "An attractive intaglio in a lower quality, base silver ring. The material of the stone is a non crystalline quartz, a chalcedony, with an upper blue layer and brownish ground, so it could be called a blue onyx or nicolo [ jewellery terms rather than scientific ones], the blue caused by staining/chemical treatment. The gem was cut with an outwardly bevelled edge. A possible copper alloy fob with red and blue enamel decoration. The mount is circular with 4 small openwork sections, which give the object the form of a broad equal-armed cross sitting within a circle. Around the outer edge of the fob are small enamelled cells which are coloured alternately red and blue. Most of these cells are now missing, and it is not possible to estimate the number of cells that would have originally been present. Fragment of a copper alloy simple terret ring dating to the Late Iron Age/Early Roman period (AD 43 -150). The curved fragment has broadly circular section which expands in diameter from one end to the other from a diameter of 7.20mm to 10.11mm. At each end there is a circular collar-formed terminal. At the small diameter end the collar has a diameter of 8.45mm, while at the large diameter end the collar is 12.17mm. A copper alloy sub-rectangular object which is possibly an inlay from a post medieval harmess fitting. The object is decorated with 2 parallel inlaid wavy lines which run along the length of the object. The resulting raised areas appear as 2 parallel rows of dog tooth decoration along the two long edges, while the central raised areas appear as 5 diamond shaped areas. A medieval to post-medieval copper alloy bowl The bowl has a flange around the circumference with 4 subrectangular nail holes. 4 have corroded square headed iron nail in situ. It appears that the flange was attached with nails to surface with an iron ring above the flange. A post medieval New England silver three pence piece, issued by colony of Massachusetts, North America, 'Oak Tree' coinage (Noe Oak-28). Ref: Noe 1947. Unique ID:  ­­­­An incomplete copper alloy object probably the trigger guard of Post-medieval date (AD 1700-1900). The object is a tapering strip of copper alloy (D shaped in section) which has been bent round into a sub oval ovalshape. Both ends of the object terminate in old, abraded breaks.
