An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of the post medieval period (c.1500-1700). The clasp it sub-rectangular in plan and is formed from a single metal sheet that is 0.68 mm thick. The There is a pierced hole at one end that has a diameter of 2.86mm. An arc of incised decoration can be seen around the piercing. A fragment of a copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head is ovate with a double lug hinge mechanism to the reverse. The pin no longer remains. A D-sectioned bow extends from the front of the head but is much truncateed. The patina is a dark green. Similar examples are illustrated in Hattatt, p.327, fig.186 and are dated to circa AD 75 - 175.

Head of a copper alloy 8th- or 9th-century Anglo-Saxon disc-headed pin, probably part of a triple linked pin set. The head and part of the shaft survive in fairly good condition. The head is circular and flat with decoration on one face, and has two holes, one on each side at 90 degrees between the top of the circle and the drop of the shaft. If the shaft emerges at 6 o'clock, the hole at 9 o'clock is now incomplete. Surviving width 26mm, surviving length 39mm. The object dates to c.AD 700-900. A copper-alloy frame from a single-loop buckle of medieval date. For similar zoomorphic buckles, see PAS record no. BH-44C3D6, or Murawski 2003: 455, M12-0206; 456, M12-0207; 462, M12-0406. The suggested date range is 12th to 13th century. The frame takes the form of a three-dimensional animal, standing, its head at the top right hand corner of the frame, looking backwards over its shoulder. A post medieval gold finger ring with four faceted stones that may - or may not - be emeralds. A fifth socket, which presumably held a further stone, is empty. The four remaing stones are held by a claw style of mount. The ring has no inscription or maker's mark. The scroll-work of the bevel and shoulders, the faceting of the stones, and the claw mounts suggests a late Georgian or early Victorian date of manufature. A complete copper-alloy medieval (1200-1400) harness pendant. The object is square in plan - 20.59mm x 20.89mm - with an integral elongated lug, which is 9.36mm long, protruding from the centre of the upper edge. A copper alloy flanged axehead of Early Middle Bronze Age date of later short-flanged axe of Type Ulcrome. The axehead dates to c. Acton Park II / Taunton phase of early MBA which corresponds to Needham typology date is c. 1600-1300 BC. Massive terret ring made from cast cu-alloy, with an incomplete projection of a twin spur (lipped projection) within the ring. It would also have had a strap bar concealed at the base. Most known examples come from northern England and Scotland with an emphasis in Aberdeenshire. There are also examples from North Wales. It's very close to an example from Chesters, Northumberland in Jope 2000, 309, 291e and MacGregor 1976, 113. Generally dating from late 1st-mid 3rd century AD. A pressed copper-alloy sheet which is a component of an incomplete powder flask. The object probably equates to one half of a powder flask. The object is roughly pear shaped with a flat top at its narrowest point, and has a piercing at its narrow end. The date is probably ealry to late post medieval, however the lack of decoration makes this object problematic to date. The object is 71.38mm at its widest, 155.15 long, and 0.93mm thick.

Description: An incomplete gold finger ring with a surface treatment of white enamel, dating from the late 16th to 17th Century AD. The ring has a D-shaped cross-section. The folowing report is from Martin Henig. "An attractive intaglio in a lower quality, base silver ring. The material of the stone is a non crystalline quartz, a chalcedony, with an upper blue layer and brownish ground, so it could be called a blue onyx or nicolo [ jewellery terms rather than scientific ones], the blue caused by staining/chemical treatment.
