A lead sheet with the impression of a Roman coin. The coin impresion is of a Siliqua from the reign of Gratian (367-383) - Reece Period 19. The lead sheet is sub-rectaungular in plan and weighs 70.50g; is 56.23mm long; and has a maximum width of 34.07mm and a minimum width of 26.22mm. It is 4.91mm thick. The impression is situated at the widest part of the sheet and some dammage has occured to the upper right quadrant of the object, which includes part of the impression. An incomplete cast copper-alloy cup-headed stud inlaid with green enamel. Sally Worrell has comented that such studs are late Iron Age or Early Roman, usually with either a blue or red enamel (see FAKL-FCD5C7). This example has a green enamel with no traces of blue or red. The head is cup-shaped and is roughly circular in plan. The diameter of the head is 14.44mm and the cup has a thickness of 5.57mm. A silver siege coin struck at Newark dated to 1645 to 1646. It is a lozenge shape and weighs 5.13g; length 34.94mm; width 31.10mm. A post-medieval silver 'siege piece' struck at Newark. The coin is lozenge shaped. The obverse depicts a crown flanked from left to right by C and R. The crown has eight pellets on the left arch and nine on the right. Due to wear it is possible that some pellets cannot be seen. Below the crown are the numerals XII, which denotes the denomination as a shilling. A complete silver short-cross penny of Richard I. There are 7 pearls to the crown and the letter N is wide, the beard is made up of small pellets. There are two un-pelleted curls on the L and two or three on the R. Based on this the coin belongs to Richard I; North class 3ab2 or class 4a. The busts on these coins can be either large, small, wide or thin. Date is c.1190-1200. Moneyer and mint are WILLELM of London, though WILLELM can also be spelt as WILLEM on these coins due to the space taken up by the enlarged letter N and A. The coin has a weight of 1.04g and a diameter of 17.74mm

A modern lead bullet. weight - 29.09g; Length - 24.34mm; Diameter - 14.95mm (0.588 inches). The bullet has 3 circumferential grooves, with rouletting and a hollowed base of depth c.3.9 mm. The diameter suggets this may be for the Martini Henry rifle, which equipped the British Army in the later 19th century, and at all events are for a rifle of military specification.

Description: A silver seal matrix with an ovate die and hexagonal faceted stem tapering up to a collar and the now missing terminal. The broken terminal consists of a rectangular cross-sectioned bar perpendicular to the stem, broken at both ends, with two broken stems extending upwards. This is consistent with a trefoil handle. An incomplete copper alloy Roman or later furniture fitting (c. AD100-400). The object has a rounded top, with a circular cross-section, and has a spherical knop with central dimple on its apex. From the rounded top the object tapers in and out again to form a 'waist', with a step between the top and the 'waist'. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval buckle that conforms well to a Meols type 10 c.AD 1350 - 1400. The pin is missing, leaving just the frame. The buckle is a single looped, oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank two grooves on the outer edge of the loop which act as rests for the pin. The buckle weighs 4.15g; is 20.27mm deep and 26.09mm wide.
