An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of the post medieval period (c.1500-1700). The clasp it sub-rectangular in plan and is formed from a single metal sheet that is 0.68 mm thick. The There is a pierced hole at one end that has a diameter of 2.86mm. An arc of incised decoration can be seen around the piercing. A post medieval gold finger ring with four faceted stones that may - or may not - be emeralds. A fifth socket, which presumably held a further stone, is empty. The four remaing stones are held by a claw style of mount. The ring has no inscription or maker's mark. The scroll-work of the bevel and shoulders, the faceting of the stones, and the claw mounts suggests a late Georgian or early Victorian date of manufature. A pressed copper-alloy sheet which is a component of an incomplete powder flask. The object probably equates to one half of a powder flask. The object is roughly pear shaped with a flat top at its narrowest point, and has a piercing at its narrow end. The date is probably ealry to late post medieval, however the lack of decoration makes this object problematic to date. The object is 71.38mm at its widest, 155.15 long, and 0.93mm thick.

A silver siege coin struck at Newark dated to 1645 to 1646. It is a lozenge shape and weighs 5.13g; length 34.94mm; width 31.10mm. A post-medieval silver 'siege piece' struck at Newark. The coin is lozenge shaped. The obverse depicts a crown flanked from left to right by C and R. The crown has eight pellets on the left arch and nine on the right. Due to wear it is possible that some pellets cannot be seen. Below the crown are the numerals XII, which denotes the denomination as a shilling. A modern lead bullet. weight - 29.09g; Length - 24.34mm; Diameter - 14.95mm (0.588 inches). The bullet has 3 circumferential grooves, with rouletting and a hollowed base of depth c.3.9 mm. The diameter suggets this may be for the Martini Henry rifle, which equipped the British Army in the later 19th century, and at all events are for a rifle of military specification.

Description: A silver seal matrix with an ovate die and hexagonal faceted stem tapering up to a collar and the now missing terminal. The broken terminal consists of a rectangular cross-sectioned bar perpendicular to the stem, broken at both ends, with two broken stems extending upwards. This is consistent with a trefoil handle. A complete cast copper alloy finger ring, of probable Early Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD). The finger ring is of the signet ring style, with a raised rectangular bezel. The shoulders are plain and do not expand from the width of the hoop. The hoop is plain and D shaped in cross section and oval in plan. The device on the bezel has an elongated octagonal border which contains a trefoiled flower with two - possibly four - leaves. No direct comparison has been found. Complete copper-alloy belt and buckle style finger ring of post-medieval date (c. 1600 - 1800 AD). The ring is of simple design: a wide and flat band with a moulded bezel in the shape of a D-shaped buckle. The band has three dots, which presumably represent belt holes. the middle hole is not evenly spaced with the first and last dots. The inner face of the band is flat while the outer face is slightly convex, giving the finger ring a D-shaped section. There is no inscription.
