An incomplete copper-alloy medieval buckle that conforms well to a Meols type 10 c.AD 1350 - 1400. The pin is missing, leaving just the frame. The buckle is a single looped, oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank two grooves on the outer edge of the loop which act as rests for the pin.
The buckle weighs 4.15g; is 20.27mm deep and 26.09mm wide.
