Description: Complete silver Post Medieval pedestal seal with oval die face, c. 1650-1700 AD. The die face features the incised image of a standing angel with a portable grinding or sharpening machine. The handle is integrally cast and projects from the back of the die face. A replica of Cnut of Northumbria (c. 900 - 905). This coin was found in an area of known Viking Age re-enactments and was examined by the FLO and Dr John Naylor, and was found to be a modern reproduction on the following grounds, Although the coin has inscriptions and obverse/reverse designs which are faithful to the originals, there are  problems when you examine the coin closely: the combination of obverse  (EC-1ii) and reverse (CR-G) type seen on this coin isn't seen in the Cuerdale hoard (which is a large sample) the letter forms are quite scruffy…

A complete but broken silver finger ring. The ring was first suspected to be Roman or early Medieval, from photographs only. The shoulder decoration certainly has some similarity to early Medieval zoomorphic decoration. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy sword pommel, c. 1250-1400 AD, The pommel is comprised of five splayed lobes which ascend in height from either side towards a central larger and taller lobe, creating a symmetrical effect. A complete opaque globular annular glass bead of unknown date, Bronze Age to Modern, about 2200 BC to AD 1900, but most likely to be Roman or Early Medieval. The bead is made out of opaque light-blue glass. It is circular in shape, with convex sides, and the ends slightly flattened. It is annular and uneven, thicker at one side than the other. A Post-Medieval small silver spoon dating from circa AD 1750-1800. The bowl is oval but mishapen. The handle is flat and tapers outwards from the bowl. There is a maker's mark 'TN' half way up the handle. The object is delicate and could be part of a child's toy set.  The maker's mark is possibley of Thomas Northcote who is noted as a London Spoon Maker, active in the late 18th C. See Pickford, I., (ed), Jackson's Hallmarks Antique Collectors Club, page 78. An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of the post medieval period (c.1500-1700). The clasp it sub-rectangular in plan and is formed from a single metal sheet that is 0.68 mm thick. A copper-alloy frame from a single-loop buckle of medieval date. For similar zoomorphic buckles, see PAS record no. BH-44C3D6, or Murawski 2003: 455, M12-0206; 456, M12-0207; 462, M12-0406. The suggested date range is 12th to 13th century. The frame takes the form of a three-dimensional animal, standing, its head at the top right hand corner of the frame, looking backwards over its shoulder. Description: A complete gold finger ring, of 19th century date. The hoop of the ring has a twisted rope design around the entire diameter on its exterior face. The inside face of the hoop is plain, with no hallmarks.
