A complete silver gilt ball-headed dress pin dating to the early post-medieval period, c. AD 1500-1600. The head is spherical, divided into two by a plain applied medial band of silver. The head is decorated with eight large hemispherical knops (four on each side of the band). Each knop is surrounded by a silver filigree complete ring. One smaller knop is positioned at the opposite pole of the pin head from the pin join. Post medieval or modern copper-alloy signet ring with shield-shaped bezel, decorated shoulders and plain hoop. The hoop is D-shaped in cross section. The ring has thick, wide shoulders, supporting a flat, shield-shaped bezel. The bezel has a pointed base, incurved long edges and a top edge with two incurved part, reaching a point at the centre. This shield shape suggests an 18th or 19th century date. The ring is intact but is in poor condition and its surface is very pitted. A pressed copper-alloy sheet which is a component of an incomplete powder flask. The object probably equates to one half of a powder flask. The object is roughly pear shaped with a flat top at its narrowest point, and has a piercing at its narrow end. The date is probably ealry to late post medieval, however the lack of decoration makes this object problematic to date. The object is 71.38mm at its widest, 155.15 long, and 0.93mm thick.

Description: An incomplete gold finger ring with a surface treatment of white enamel, dating from the late 16th to 17th Century AD. The ring has a D-shaped cross-section. Cast copper alloy fragment of a sword belt fitting dating from the 16-17th centuries. This would have been one of 3 pieces hanging from the main fitting. It is foliate in design and has broken before the end. The end that is missing would have been a hook to attach it to the main fitting. There is a small circular perforation at the un-broken end in which the remains of an iton rivet sit. A similar mount is illustrated in Brian Read (page no. 39, No. 373)

Complete copper-alloy belt and buckle style finger ring of post-medieval date (c. 1600 - 1800 AD). The ring is of simple design: a wide and flat band with a moulded bezel in the shape of a D-shaped buckle. The band has three dots, which presumably represent belt holes. the middle hole is not evenly spaced with the first and last dots. The inner face of the band is flat while the outer face is slightly convex, giving the finger ring a D-shaped section. There is no inscription. A silver siege coin struck at Newark dated to 1645 to 1646. It is a lozenge shape and weighs 5.13g; length 34.94mm; width 31.10mm. A post-medieval silver 'siege piece' struck at Newark. The coin is lozenge shaped. The obverse depicts a crown flanked from left to right by C and R. The crown has eight pellets on the left arch and nine on the right. Due to wear it is possible that some pellets cannot be seen. Below the crown are the numerals XII, which denotes the denomination as a shilling. A modern lead bullet. weight - 29.09g; Length - 24.34mm; Diameter - 14.95mm (0.588 inches). The bullet has 3 circumferential grooves, with rouletting and a hollowed base of depth c.3.9 mm. The diameter suggets this may be for the Martini Henry rifle, which equipped the British Army in the later 19th century, and at all events are for a rifle of military specification.

A complete cast copper alloy dress hook of early Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1500 - 1700. The dress hook is of Read's Class E, Type 3: circular in plan and with a rectangular attachment loop. The dress hook has a cast openwork body, with a central cross; each quarter has an openwork trefoil or quatrefoil. The outer edge of the body is decorated with a line of pellets. The hook at the base is complete, but bent. Parallels include FAKL-14FC6A, YORYM-681DC6 and Read (2008) p. 99 number 370-371.

The shoulders are plain and do not expand from the width of the hoop. The hoop is plain and D shaped in cross section and oval in plan. A post medieval gold finger ring with four faceted stones that may - or may not - be emeralds. A fifth socket, which presumably held a further stone, is empty. The four remaing stones are held by a claw style of mount. The ring has no inscription or maker's mark.
