Description: Incomplete medieval to post-medieval gold finger ring. The bezel is oval, mimicking the shape of the stone. The upper half forms a collet with concave sides, open at the top to house an oval gem, constructed in a so called 'pie-dish' style - popular in the thirteenth century. Description: An incomplete early medieval gold and garnet cross pendant, comprising three of the original four arms and the suspension loop. The cross is of equal-armed form, the upper and lower arms (as pictured) being part of the same sheet plate but the right arm bring soldered to a side projection which terminates in a worn tear.
