An incomplete copper alloy Roman Colchester one-piece brooch dating to the period c. AD20 - 100. The pin, spring, part of the head, lower section of bow and the catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 36.44mm in length, 7.66mm maximum width, 4.24mm minimum width, is 3.04mm thick and weighs 3.58g. The head exhibits the wings rectangular in cross section, measuring 3.9 wide 2.43 high and 1.87mm thick.
