A complete copper alloy post-medieval (AD c.1500-c.1550) hooked clasp of one piece. The clasp falls into Read's Class E, Type 3: circular single sharp-hooked clasps. A similar hooked clasp can be found in Read, 2008, Hooked-Clasps & Eyes, p.91, no.319. Overall, it measures 33.55mm long, 13.76mm wide and 1.89mm thick. It weighs 1.96g. The clasp was cast in one piece and consists of a trapezoidal loop, a central circular plate and a hook. The central plate has a central solid-domed boss inscribed with the black-letter sacred monogram IHS all within a cabled border. The hook is 13.19…

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch with side lugs dating to the period c. AD 43-70. The brooch is missing the pin, lower bow and the catchplate. It measures 31.87 mm in length, 16.16 mm in maximum width and weighs 4.40 grams. The head measures 16.16 mm at its widest point, 5.63 mm in length and is 3.25 mm thick.
