An incomplete Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch, of the bottom section of the bow and catchplate. It measures 45.96mm in length and weighs 3.34 grams. The bow is incomplete, the surviving section is broadly rectangular in plan before tapering to the foot. The top part of the bow is decorated with a central vertical rib flanked by two vertical grooves. Below is a further horizontal groove and a horizontal rib. An incomplete copper alloy Roman plate brooch of the continental type dating to c. AD 100 - 250. The majority of the pin, some of the decoration and possibly some of the catchplate are missing. It measures 34.47mm in length and weighs 4.73g. The plate consists of a 3 concave circlular platforms layered upon the other, biggest as the base and descreasing in size with each layer forming a pronounced roundel.
