A complete late Bronze Age chisel dating to c. 1150-800 BC. The chisel measures 86.44mm in length and weighs 24.94. The tang measures 7.96mm wide and 5.85mm thick where it joins the body of the chisel, and narrows and thins to 3.64mm wide and 2.94mm thick at the other end. Casting flashes are visible and worn down where it joins the collar. The collar is oval in cross-section (12.66mm wide 9.17mm thick), with the concave sides of the blade below extending from it and flaring to an expanded curved cutting edge measuring 20.64mm in diameter. A gold Iron Age stater of Catti of the Dobunni tribe dating to c. AD 1 - 20. Obverse depicts the Tree of Life and the reverse depicts triple tailed horse above a wheel. The inscription 'CATTI' is visible on the reverse. The Dobunni were an Iron Age tribe with a range of rulers. Often rulers had similar coins but changed specific details. The details changed include: shape of the horse's head; the obverse type; the number of pellets surrounding the horse; the inscription above the horse.
