An incomplete Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch, of the bottom section of the bow and catchplate. It measures 45.96mm in length and weighs 3.34 grams. The bow is incomplete, the surviving section is broadly rectangular in plan before tapering to the foot. The top part of the bow is decorated with a central vertical rib flanked by two vertical grooves. Below is a further horizontal groove and a horizontal rib. One half of a copper alloy medieval to post-medieval snaffle bit. It comprises of one of iron cheek piece attached to half of the copper-alloy mouthpiece. The other cheek piece and mouthpiece are missing. The Cheek piece is Type A and the mouthpiece is Type 2. The end of the mouthpiece where it would connect with the other half is broken. A copper alloy medieval ewer spout dating to c.AD 1250 - 1350. The rest of the ewer is missing. The spout is shaped to represent a dog's head. The back of the head and neck are decorated with chevron incisions. The opening of the spout is situated in the dog's open mouth. The head is detailed with incisions to further create the image of a dog: the ears can be seen on either side; hooded eyes can be seen either side of the ridge of the snout; two depressions on the end of the snout represent nostrils. An incomplete copper alloy Roman Colchester one-piece brooch dating to the period c. AD20 - 100. The pin, spring, part of the head, lower section of bow and the catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 36.44mm in length, 7.66mm maximum width, 4.24mm minimum width, is 3.04mm thick and weighs 3.58g. The head exhibits the wings rectangular in cross section, measuring 3.9 wide 2.43 high and 1.87mm thick. An incomplete copper alloy Roman spoon dating to c. AD 43 - 410. The handle is missing. The bowl is almond shaped with a length of 31.96mm, maximum width of 18.18mm and a thickness of 3.93mm. It weighs 2.34g. The back of the bowl has a slight elevated section 4.26mm long and 3.85mm wide. This is the section of handle attached to the back of the bowl.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman plate brooch of the continental type dating to c. AD 100 - 250. The majority of the pin, some of the decoration and possibly some of the catchplate are missing. It measures 34.47mm in length and weighs 4.73g. The plate consists of a 3 concave circlular platforms layered upon the other, biggest as the base and descreasing in size with each layer forming a pronounced roundel. A copper alloy contemporary copy of an as of Caligula (AD 37-41) (Reece Period 1), struck in honour of Marcus Agrippa (died 12 BC), S C, Neptune standing left. Prototype Mint of Rome - RIC I, p. 112, no. 58. For a copy, see Boon, Counterfeit Coins in Roman Britain, plate III, no. 36. A number of these copies have been found recently on the excavations at the Bloomberg Site in London (Julian Bowsher, pers. comm.). The coin appears to have been serrated which is a phenomenon noted by Dr Philippa Walton has noted on coins from Piercebridge.
