A complete cast silver post-medieval (c.1500-c.1800) seal matrix. It weighs 8.83g, measuring 21.42mm in length and 16.76mm in width. The seal matrix has oval face which tapers inwards to a narrowly conical handle and terminates in a circular loop. The juncture between the handle and the loop is marked by two circumferential raised collars. Extending down from these raised collars is a band of hexagonally-faceted ribs, on one of these ribs is the maker's mark. This mark is 2.05mm in length and 1.81mm wide, and contains the letter "H" within a shield. The face of the seal is 16.76mm …

An unidentified and incomplete copper-alloy cylindrical object, of posible Roman date (AD 43-410). It has one open end and one closed end. Old damage has caused a large, irregularly shaped (but broadly rectangular) tear extending from just below the closed end to the opend end, in a diagonal line. To the opposite side of the cylinder a rectangular loop projects, just below the closed end, for 15.14mm. It is 1.53mm thick and particularly worn along its upper, long, edge. The patina of the object is an olive green/ brown in colour, suggestive of a Roman date. The object measures 25.14mm…

A fragment of medieval to post-medieval (1200-1800) copper-alloy cooking vessel, consisting of a fragment of the body and an incomplete leg. The leg is triangular in cross-section, terminating in a worn old break at one end and adjoining the body frament on a curved diagonal. The patina of the leg and body is dark green and both carry traces of a black coating, possibly soot deposits. The fragment measures 67.06mm in length and is 54.39mm wide. A complete lead medieval spindle whorl or weight of uncertain date, but likely to be medieval to post-medieval (1100-1800). It is circular in shape, measuring 21.41mm in diameter, with a central piercing, measuring 5.89mm in diameter. The object is 8.12mm in thickness, weighs 23.81g, and is undecorated. There are similar spindle whorls or weights on the database, most notably: HAMP-DF5F35 and HAMP-4E92D1.

An incomplete Roman plate brooch, dating to the period AD 150-200. It is lozenge-shaped, 26.94mm in length and 19.71mm in width. In the centre of this brooch is a circular protrusion, measuring 4.31mm in diameter. This circular protrusion has a perimeter now with a light brown patina and with apparently decorated with moulded knops. At the centre are the remains of now red enamel. Outside the central protrusion is a double ring of punched dots, some retaining traces of silvering/ tinning. Beyond are further traces of silvering/ tinning.
