The coin is probably Edward I type 3b but is too damaged to be certain.
The coin is 18.0mm in diameter and weighs 0.91g.

A silver Grosso of Pope Innocent XI (1676-1689)
The obverse has a bust of St Peter right with halo. ROMA below bust. The outer edge of the flan of the coin is pelleted. Inscription; SANCTVS PETRVS APOST.
The reverse has shield dove above and flower head at each top corner. Above this is Papal crown with ribbons and keys of St. Peter either side. The outer flan is pelleted. Inscription; INNOC . XI . P.M. (Pont Max)
The coin is 18.8mm in diameter and weighs 1.5g.

Description: A decorated Gold finger ring with a pentagonal faceted mount set with a blue gemstone, possibly a sapphire dating between AD1200-1350.
The band is a very flat oval in section. The outer section towards the shoulder is decorated. The decoration consists of a double incised line on one side that runs at forty five degrees across the band four times with a dot decoration between the lines.
