A very worn silver half-groat of Charles I (1625-1649).
The obverse has a faint outline of bust left. The mint mark or inscription is illegible apart from CARO.
The reverse is oval garnished shield which would have had C and R either side although only the C is visible.
The coin is 15.6mm in diameter and weighs 0.77g.

A very worn copper-alloy post medieval farthing (Type 2) of Charles I (1625-49). Dating to the period 1636-44.
The coin when looking at the obverse has a fracture at 12 o'clock and at 4 o'clock. The coin is very worn and no inscription or mintmark is legible.
The coin is 12.44mm in diameter and weighs 0.4g.
