A copper-alloy Sestertius of The Empress Sabina AD128-137. Wife of Hadrian. (Reece Period 6) The obverse shows bust facing right with plaited hair. This dates the coin to later than AD130 as the hairstyle changed after Sabrina visited Egypt. An A is visible to the top right of the bust. The reverse shows Ceres seated left. SC type. Could possibly be Concordia but detail is lacking. No legible inscription survives on either side. The coin is 29.5mm in diameter, 4.3mm thick and weighs 15.1g.
