A late medieval to early post-medieval (mid 14th to mid 16th century) copper-alloy book mount of Howsam's type B.1.2.
The mount has a central raised dome which sits on a raised step which is also circular. This then sits on a square step from which each of the four trefoil arms extend. Each trefoil has a small rivet hole. There is no further decoration.
The mount measures 36.2mm across the trefoils, is 8.3mm high at the dome and weighs 8.8g. It has a light to mid green patina.

An early post-medieval book clasp (c AD1500-1700).
The clasp is formed from a thin rectangular strip with a splayed expansion at one end which has a small break. There are two holes next to each other. The inner hole has a ring decoration on the outer edge.
At the other end there is a slight flare which terminates in a hook. Before the flare there is the remains of a rivet. There is no decoration on the outer face.
The clasp is 46.6mm long, 11.2mm wide at the expansion, 9.9mm wide at the pin end and weighs 2.26g. It has a light green patina.
