A Late Iron Age copper-alloy moustache-shaped object, probably dating to the period 300BC - AD100. The object is composed by two bulbous and pointy halves connected by a recessed band, hollow inside with raised lugs and central slot. The external surface is decorated with incised and parallel lines rising from the base up to the two pointy ends. The object measures 24.14mm in length, 20.96mm in width, 6.90mm in thick and weights 13.50g. Similar objects are illustrated in Evans (1881) "Ancient Bronze Implements of Great Britain" and are described as chapes (pp. 305, fig. 372)…

Description: A slightly squashed silver hawking ring or vervel of Lewis and Richardson's type C.ii. The object is composed by a small circular ring, roughly d-shaped in section, with a heraldic shield affixed to the outer face. The shield shows a two-legged and winged creature, probably a wyvern, standing left with the body covered with scales. Faint lines radiate upwards from what appears to be the animal's mouth. An incomplete copper alloy possible Late Iron Age to Roman period terret. The terret is composed by an old broken circular shape loop. The loop measures 28.31mm in external diameter and 20.54mm in internal diameter. On the top of it a second but rectangular shape loop that is 18.86mm in length, 9.82mm in width and 3.59mm in thick. The terret is D-shape in cross section with a smooth and undecorated surface. It weighs 15.59g. The shape of the rectangular loop is slightly diffrent form the usual one known for Late Iron Age to Roman terret. Variations on the date range are possible.

A cast copper alloy socketed spearhead with side loops dating to the Middle Bronze Age, about 1500-1150 BC. The spearhead is leaf-shaped and sub-circular in cross section with a central rib running down to the blade and extendig into the shaft and socket. An incomplete copper alloy pilgrim badge of medieval period, probably dating between the 13th and the first half of the 14th century AD. The badge is composed by a plate depicting a man equipped for a holy travel. The man has a full beard and wears a clock, the hood of which is pulled over his head. An incomplete copper alloy socketed side loop spear head dating to Middle Bronze Age (c. 1600-1150 BC). Part of the object is missing. The blade is leaf-shaped and lozengeform in cross-section, showing a prominent central ridge that extends into the old broken shaft. On one side is still visible the attachment point of the side loop which is incomplete from an old break. The spear head narrows from the tip to the shaft and measures 47.03mm in length and 14.59mm in width. A possible flint scraper dating between Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age (c. 2700-1600 BC). The scraper is elongated shape and has been struck from a tertiary flake and retains no traces of the original cortex. The dorsal face exhibits two negative flakes. There is no visible striking platform or bulb of percussion. One of the mesal shows a short, scaled and semi-abrupt retouch. The flint is a translutenc dark grey colour with off-white inclusions. It measures 49.50mm in length, 22.75mm in width, 7.58mm thick and weighs 9.05g.

A piece of flint debitage of Neolithic to Bronze Age date (c. 4000 - 1000 BC). The piece is broadly rounded and has been struck from a tertiary flake retaining no traces of the original cortex. The dorsal surface is irregular, showing different flake scars and ridges. The striking platform is broadly triangular shape with a prominent bulb of percussion. The mesals are irregular but there are no visible traces of intenctional retouch. The flint is mottled grey colour with off-white spots. It measures 39.38mm in length, 37.97mm in width, 11.28mm thick and weighs 24.03g.

A large sherd of a Roman black burnished ware bowl dating between 2nd and 4th century AD. The sherd icludes part of the rim and the wall. The bowl has a rounded, flat rim and a concave profile. The rim is not perfectly straight, indicating that the bowl was hand made. The fabric is a reduced grey colour with a burnished external surface and and oxidised internal surface. There are small micaceous inclusions as well as sand and flint. The sherd measures 59.25mm in length, 95.30mm in width, 7.02mm thick and weighs 73.30g.
