A cast lead alloy weight dating from the Roman to the Post-Medieval period, (43-1700). The object is oval in plan and conical. The object is undecorated and there are no traces of iron. Each face of the object is has been damaged with irregular pitting and nicks. Lead weights are common throughout the Medieval and Post-Medieval period and are therefore difficult to date. The object has a light brown patina. Dimensions: 21mm in height, 16mm in width, 27.1g
