A copper alloy vessel foot dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The object is from a cooking vessel and has been broken across the leg. The object is L-shaped in profile. The underside of the foot is slightly concave in the centre. The leg rises above the foot where it terminates with an ancient break. The face of the upper edge is obliquely angled and is expanded where it would have attached to the body of the vessel.

Copper alloy vessel rim sherd. The inner rim edge is thickened to give it a plano-convex D cross section. There are carbon deposits on the exterior face. Similar types of cooking vessels were in use for a long period, from the 11th to the 19th centuries. Other examples on the database include GLO-9EC6C7, IOW-224162, and WAW-011FA4. Difficult to date but probably within the period from c1100 to c1900 AD, most likely 16th to mid 18th century.
The length is 42mm, width 30mm, thickness 3.5mm, and the weight 24.3g.

Roman to Post-Medieval lead alloy or lead pot or vessel mend. It is sub oval in plan and roughly D-shaped in section. More precise dating is impossible as none of the vessel's fabric has been retained in the mend but is likely to date from some time betwen c43 to c1750 AD. .
The length is 38mm, width 32mm, thickness 16mm, and the weight 68.5g.

Probably a Post Medieval copper alloy foot, possibly from a something akin to a fire dog, vessel, or piece of furniture. It appears to be a form of debased 'ball & claw'. The foot retains remnants of a black patina, possibly from sooting or carbon deposit. Possible date range from c1500 to c1900 AD. The length is 53.19mm, width 17.74mm, thickness 18.15mm, and the weight 15.5g.
