Copper alloy object, probably a pin, possibly a bodkin or flattened scoop. The shank is a flattened oval in section. Both ends have bee flattened to points - one narrower than the width of the shank, the other flaring wider. Due to its lack of diagnostic features, its is difficult to be precise about the objects date and it could date to anytime between c400 BC and c1950 AD. Length is 41mm, width 3mm, and the weight 1.7g.

A complete Post Medieval silver gilt dress pin with hollow-cast spherical head, c. 16th century AD. The pin has been drawn from a thick silver wire, measuring 3mm in diameter. The pin terminates with a break which appears to be recent. The spherical head measures 15 mm in diameter and has filigree and applied knop decoration. It has been divided by a double raised border of possibly twisted wire filigree.
