The coin has been damaged, and is bent towards the obverse. A complete rim sherd of a wheel thrown vessel of the Medieval period dating from c. AD 1300 - c. AD 1500. The rim sherd consists of a fabric similar to that known as Midlands Purple ware, dating from the 14th to 16th century. The rim would have measured approximately 60 cm and there is only 12.75% remaining. There are small white and brown inclusions present in the sherd.
