A complete early medieval lead weight with a Roman coin or early medieval styca embedded in the upper surface (AD c.850-c.1100). The weight is circular in plan and broadly D-shaped in cross-section. The sides of the weight are convex, tapering towards the top and slightly towards the base. The base is slightly concave. The upper surface is flattened and there is a circular depression at the top of the object, set slightly off centre, with a diameter of approximately 13 mm.
