An incomplete copper alloy hinged Colchester derivative (dolphin) brooch of the Roman period, dating AD 55 to AD 100. Approximately half of the brooch is present, with the pin, part of the left wing, catch plate, and foot missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The bow head is hump-like, and slightly angular (comma shaped) in profile, with cylindral wings projecting from either side at the top, the left wing is incomplete. An incomplete, copper alloy, Crescent Type Aesica brooch of the Late Iron Age to Roman period, dating from c. AD 40 - c. AD 80. Around 50% of the brooch remains, the spring, pin, foot and catch plate are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The brooch is broadly rectangular in plan and broadly C shaped in section. An incomplete copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of the Roman period, circa AD 80-120. Most of the brooch is present, consisting of the head, bow, both wings, most of the spring, axis bar, catchplate and foot.
