A circular copper alloy trade weight of the Modern period, probably dating from c. AD 1837 - c. AD 1901.
The trade weight is circular in shape, and rectangular in cross section. The obverse has a raised rim of 2.4 mm width, with a circular engraved border as decoration. Two more concentric engraved circles are present on the obverse. Within the central circle, a possible stamp is present, probably consisting of a Crowned [ ]R, there is a central circular depression where the other letter should be, it is probable that this was issued during the reign of Queen Victoria (AD 1837 to A…
