A complete copper alloy book or box mount or clasp of the Modern period, dating from c. AD 1850 - c. AD 1940. The mount is broadly trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in section. The left side of the object is longer than the right, and the edges are curved or wavy all around the object. It is decorated in an Art Deco style design of the sun's rays shining onto rolling hills as seen through a fence panel.
